Paul Ferreira,
Founder, Askari Adventures
Paul has nearly 25 years' guiding experience, specializing in plains animals and predators.Through the company he founded, Askari Adventures, Paul is the sole outfitter for Shakawa Lodge & Game Reserve. He also has extensive experience in bird spotting. Bird list
Schalk Potgieter
Schalk is Shakawa's General Manager and has been a professional guide for nearly a decade. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the bushveldt and has an especially trained eye for sometimes elusive plains game.
Piet Lombard, Sr.
Like all guides at Shakawa, Piet is an experienced professional, specilizing in big game and plains animals. He also has a well-deserved reputation as a humanely skilled game capturer and has been involved in several breeding projects..
Pieter Lombard, Jr.
Pieter is the second member of this formidable father and son team at Shakawa. Trained to become a versatile guide and tracker, he has ten years' experience in a wide range of South African terrain.
Morne Brummer
Morne is the youngest of our team of guides and has been a professional for the past six years. He is an wily, expert tracker and game spotter.
Frits Rabe
Frits has 18 years experience as a guide and served with South African Special Forces, he specialises in dangerous game safaris.
