How to find Shakawa

Remote and unspoilt - yet easily accessible, Shakawa is situated 480km north of Johannesburg and can be reached by various routes:

Option 1
There are internal schedule flights from Johannesburg Airport to Polokwane Airport (approx 1 hour), where you will be met and driven the 164km to Shakawa (approx 1 hour 30 mins).

Option 2
Air charter can be arranged on request. There is a landing strip close by and the flying time from Johannesburg is 1 hour.

Option 3
On request, car hire can be arranged from Johannesburg Airport . The journey to Shakawa will take approximately 5 hours.
